It's Cold

It got real cold here last night but no where near as cold as Minnesota. If you ever wondered what Minnesotans did all winter long, these pictures may help you understand. I remember going to parties in three, four room ice houses duing the winter months in high school. People used to build ice houses to sheild themselves from the elements while they tried to catch fish though a hole in the ice. That evolved into a place to get away from home and to hang out with friends and drink, particularily if you were under age.

Now, it seems ice houses are a means to artistic expression. These shots on flickr are from Aaron Landry, a Minnesota blogger I've been following for a while.
