Way home

I had good meetings in Florida today and I'm on the plane heading north. The picture of the baby balancing act was taken outside where we had dinner last night. The food was forgettable but the sculpture was interesting.

I'm sitting on the left side of the plane heading north so the view of the sunset over the North Carolina coast is quite nice. I just took a couple pictures of it and will post one tonight or tomorrow morning. I'll also post some baby shots soon which is why most of you come to this blog in the first place. Hell, I can't wait to see them.

I hope everyone enjoyed the Easter pictures and the rather low resolution camera phone pictures from the Birchmere. Kumie and I saw Cracker-Camper Van Bethoven there last night. It was an semi-electric show with help from the Hackensaw boys. Good times. Btw, you need to forgive my spelling on many of these posts. I don't have spell check on my blackberry and I was never the strongest speller. I try to concentrate on the message and proper grammer just distracts me.

Anyway, I probably have a few more pictures in of the boys ready to go that I'll try to post this week. Remember to check www.durpenters.org as well. I will send a few pictures a week to flickr and they show up on the right side of the site dynamically. I'll also try to post a short easter egg hunt video there later this week. Very entertaining.

Successful Easter Egg hunt. The boys are displaying the eggs they harvested in the yard. They picked up the whole concept pretty quickly and would have gotten more eggs if Kumie wasn't knocking them down to get them first. Joseph, Ashton and Kumie joined us for brunch and the hunt. I have some good video of the whole event as well and will put together a dvd of the fun sometime soon. More later... Posted by Hello

Another 40th birthday party. Seems like someone is turning 40 everyday. Well, I guess they are, but it does seem all my friends are turning 40 at a rapid pace. This is Randella or her given name, Randy. I went up to Baltimore for a couple hours to celebrate with the gang last night. We are having few people over for an Easter Egg hunt this morning so I should have some good pictures for the blog and web site later this afternoon. More soon... Posted by Hello

I was in Chicago yesterday evening and most of today. I had some meetings with my Interactive Agency, Euro RSCG. Dinner was fun and the meetings were successful and I'm back home now. This cow is in Euro's 3rd floor lobby. I don't know where it lived when it was on the street a few years ago. Posted by Hello

Rain

Lots of it. It was a pretty dreary day with rain and a really dark sky. The boys are feeling better but I'm sure they will be thrilled to go outside tomorrow and play at the park after being stuck inside all day. I guess they did go out for a little shopping but no chance to run around outside. I don't have any new recent pictures but will be sure add some on Sunday when we have some people over for an Easter egg hunt, if not sooner.

Today

No new pictures to post and the news is rather boring. Sam is still a little sick but his temp is down in the 101 range and Dylan shows no sign of the bug, yet... Work was busy and it's time to go to bed. More later...

Full Bloom Posted by Hello

The boys got a much needed hair cut today. Look you can see their eyes. They were really good too. Not too squirmy this time. They do have colds again but that's to be expected. I'm also posting a shot of the first flowers coming up in the yard. I think winter is done here. Posted by Hello

Sooo... St Patricks Day was a good time. We stood in line at 8:30am to see Better Than Ezra at LuLu's but they had already played by the time we got in at 9:15. I did get this camera phone shot of the BTE guys as they went in the building. Jud, Kumie, Lynn and I hung out there for an hour or so then Jud and I went up to Ireland's Four Provences in Cleveland Park. This was Jud's 13 year of celebrating St. Patricks Day there and my 3rd or 4th visit for the annual event. Gerald (g-man) and Mike and a few others showed up and fun was had by all.

I sent the Jud and G-man picture yesterday using flickr but it some how didn't post till this morning. Oh well, I try to up to the minute but technology oftens lets me down.

Sorry about missing a post yesterday. I sent one with my Blackberry but it obviously hasn't gotten here yet. This blog is a goggle product and I expect better from them but maybe it's just a temporary problem due to the recent popularity of bogging. I don't know but it pisses me off. Anyway, got a new car tonight. Took the old Acura TL back and picked up a new one. This one has some way cool tech stuff on it including bluetooth phone capability and XM Satelite Radio. It's also better designed and has a much bigger navigation screen with improved nav software. Should be fun to drive.

Lunch at Fridays complete with views of airplanes. Posted by Hello

The boys got an extra treat today. A ride on a train to the airport. This was their first Metro ride and we went four stops to DCA and had lunch at Fridays. Nothing like taking a train to go see airplanes. National (i can't call it Reagan) Airport has some very nice shops as well and I picked up a new computer bag and the boys got little 747's complete with flashing jet engines and really annoyingly loud jet engine sounds. We all went to the airport today to watch AIRPLANES! The boys really like to see airplanes flying, especially Sam. The wind was from the NW and cold so the plans were taking off toward the north which isn't quite as fun as them taking off to the south and landing from the north. They get really low over the park at the end of the runway when landing from that direction and Sam and Dylan duck as if they are going to be hit. Funny stuff. Tommorow we may take them on the Metro, or to them, a TRAIN!

BTW, check out www.durpenters.org for a couple more pictures I loaded to flickr that show up on the right side of my site. More soon... Posted by Hello

Snow and berries. This is a look at the conflict between winter and spring going on right now. It's really pretty cold for early march in DC but it will probably 60 or 70 degrees in the next week or so. Golf courses should be greening up in no time. Posted by Hello

Ok, no new pictures again today due to lots of stuff going on. I took this one last week sometime and it is rather cute. Work has been hectic but going well. The ACC Basketball Tournament is at the MCI Center starting tomorrow so I plan on taking some time off on Friday afternoon and watch some of the games at a bar in the neighborhood. I think Wacky Dave and Modean will be coming downtown to meet me. Anyway, heading to bed early again tonight. Long day tomorrow. Posted by Hello

Tuesday Post

This has been a busy day and I have not been able to come up with anything good to blog about. Nicole stayed home sick today and the boys are both running a fever. I'm not feeling sick yet but with all those kudies running around, I'm bound to catch something. I think I'm going to bed now and with a little extra sleep I may avoid the bug.
