Back on the Gridiron

Not a great final score last night but Sam started on both offense and defensive along with punting duty, which happened too often. He had a catch for around 10 yards and two sacks, one of them pictured below. The Eagle offense was anemic at best and I was suspect of the play calling but overall the team showed promise. Next game, Saturday.

Winter Walk

A chilly but sunny walk in the neighborhood, but 29 degrees feels pretty good compared to the -22 in Minnesota last weekend.

Cold Visit

Quick, fun visit to Minnesota last weekend. It never got above -5 and dropped as low as -22. Good to see everyone and get a real taste of winter.

Pickle Heads

Everyone enjoyed cider and pickle ball in Nordeast Minneapolis except my shoulder. I seemed to have messed it up trying to slam a shot on Finn. It's an old injury but I can't lift my arm above my head now. Yeah, pickle ball. The dodder was good and the kids love playing the game.

Holiday Visit

About 8 weeks late for the holidays but we made it to Minnesota for a quick, cold visit. -8 when we landed, -17 when we woke up. Holiday lights still up, which is nice. Up,at our house as well.

Options

Sam Mask

Our photographer friend EJ gave Nicole this one of a kind mask last night before the game. The Eagles dropped their regional game against A heavily favored Lake Braddock team 76-72. I'm pretty sure the Bruins thought they were going to blow us out, but ended up losing the battle under the rim to Sam and Nadir and being out hustled by our guards. Ultimately they were more successful than the Eagles from three point land and squeezed out a close win. They also had a few parents there for some reason (COVID rules only allow home teams to have fans) and they were horrible people, like some of the kids from what Sam tells me.

They did have one kid we all like. I coached Max in flag football 10 years ago and he is still a great athlete and a class act.

Training Kit

Dylan got his new Old Glory trading kit today. He's rather happy with it and the fact that they are training indoors the next couple months.
