We had a really nice day on Sunday with the boys and Joseph and Kumie. We spent almost 4 hours at Wheaton Park in Silver Spring Maryland right near where little Kumie grew up. The park had a merry go round (up and down horse), Choo Choo Train, botanical garden and a huge play area with all sorts of slides, swings and climbing apparatus.

The weather was perfect and I think the day qualified for what Mary Carpenter calls a “Golden Afternoon”. She was showing me some pictures of her and Ollie a while back and explained how the day felt. You get one of those every once in a while and it’s great to have it in pictures. I’ve posted about 35 of the shots on http://www.durpenters.org/ .

You should be able to get there directly with this link.
