This is the chair pose for the boys. I don't know what the chair is all about but they are pretty good shots. The boys, Nicole and Linda went down to the mall again today to a couple of the museums. It's just too windy to spend any time outside and hey, let's face it, DC has the best free museums in the world and we should take advantage of them. I stayed back because I have a small sore throat and had some work to do. Going to watch March of the Penguins in a little bit. We figured the boys might like that. They loved the Penguins at the Central Park Zoo in November.

Didn't do all that much today. Got some good sleep after the 12 hour work days on Wednesday and Thursday. Had a couple drinks with Kumie, Chris, Joe and John then came home and watched Wedding Crashers on Friday. Woke up and went to the gym this morning while Sam, Dylan, Nicole and Linda went to the Air and Space museum on the mall. The boys got new airplanes to play with there and jumped all over Mike McConnell was he and Mike Holl tried to watch the stinkin Redskins lose to the Seahawks tonight. I'm not usually a Seahawks fan but I'll cheer for anyone playing the Redskins.

Nicole and I have Monday off so we will need to find some fun stuff to do with the kids the next couple days. Should be fun. Oh yeah, I took some pictures of Baltimore last week and posted them to my Flickr account. You can find them on the right hand side of www.durpenters.org Enjoy.

Lovely day in Baltimore and I'm going out for a walk at lunch time. I used to spend a lot of time here in the Fells Point neighborhood in my youth but wow has it changed in the past 5 years. New hotels, condos and a harbor walk has gone in and many of the run down bars are gone. I guess it has just been pushed further from downtown. Anyway, we are going to one of the restaurants I used to visit back in the day tonight. Should be good.

The post below was sent to blogger on Tuesday morning. Don't know why it just showed up on the blog. I'm in Baltimore all day again today. It's much nicer than yesterday with plenty of sun and highs in the 50's. I'm in meetings all day again but hope to get out and walk around a little this afternoon. Went to Scala last night for dinner in Little Italy. Good times in general and very good food. More soon...
All day meeting
In an all day meeting today and I really shouldn't be blogging but I've heard the presentation currently happening so I'll write a little.
Dylan gets so excited about seeing trains these days. I met the boys and Nicole at the Alexandria train station last night and Dylan couldn't wait to tell me about the CSX frieght train and multiple VRE's he just saw. He tries to discribe the number of engines and the types of cars so fast that he can't keep up with himself. Very cute. Sam likes trains but doesn't get as excited as Dylan.
The boys went to the doctor again yesterday and they are getting over their colds but Dylans ears are still in bad shape. He has an ear specialist appointment in a week or two. Hopefully he won't need tubes.
Gotta run

Ok, so how cute is this? The little one's first school pictures that I scanned but will buy from the company that actually took them. I have individual shots as well but I'll post them over the next few days to keep you all interested in this blog. We are going to buy four of five sheets of pictures from Lifetouch Studios, which is a Minnesota company by the way. So I don't feel bad about pirating their work.

I was able to pull together a Christmas in Minnesota collection this morning and Kumie was kind enough to post it to my site http://www.durpenters.org/ Enjoy...
This has been a rather lazy weekend of getting things done around the house and catching up on some work. We took the boys to see the car getting washed today and they really liked that. Some park time and 4 nebulizer treatments a piece has kept us pretty busy. This will be another busy week at work. All day meeting Tuesday to Friday.

CNBC
I answered some questions about Boomers and Technology for a CNBC reporter yesterday. They are supposedly running the piece sometime today. So all you Wall Street watchers who actually know where that channel is on you cable system should look out for me. I think I gave them some good film to use and I didn't apply any make-up for the interview.

3 Days of 2006
We are already three days into 2006 and I’m exhausted. I’m sure it will get easier soon. The boys, Nicole and I still have various stages of sickness and work is starting off strong. I forgot to blog about something Sam said at the park last weekend that struck me kinda funny. He was on the baby swing at the park near our house and he commented that the swing was getting smaller. I suggested that he may be getting bigger but he said “I don’t think so”
I guess they will have to move on the big boy swings soon because the baby swings are shrinking.

So the boys started the new year with a little rough housing at the park and a jam session with their new drum kit and guitar. Steve, Patty and Kumie came over last night for new years and I spent most the time in bed. I did manage to get up and have a little bubbly at mid night but I felt awful. I feel better today. The boys are still sick and Nicole still feels a little funky but I think we are all recovering. We have the day off again tomorrow and we will probably do a whole lot of nothing again.
