We hit the pool again around noon and cooled down from the heat and extreme humidity. When we returned we went to the cemetery in our backyard and placed some flags on veterans markers. We found a handful without flags already and talked with the kids about why this day was important and why we recognize military veterans. It's important that the boys recognize that Memorial Day is about more than swimming and BBQ's. So, here at our own little cemetery, we honored the brave soldiers, sailors and airman that severed the US Armed Forces.
