It's good luck to lick your twin brother in some countries.
The boys had an early season football practice in the pouring rain this afternoon then we watched an insanely good Little League World Series baseball game that the southeast team won 24-16 in 7 innings. Fall is in the air around here, just barely, but it's there. Now, where is my wood guy?
Heading home today after another ACS National Meeting. I don't get to Philly that after but it's a charming town and I should probably explore it more one of these days.
We left Williamsport this morning after some fun times at the LLWS. Dylan commented before he fell asleep last night that it was a fun trip and he was glad I was able to go. I'm in Philly now for business a day late but happy the boys wanted me with them this weekend.
We drove up to Williamsport PA last night and watched 3 little league games today with the Lorengers and lathrups who we know from home. It was a perfect weather wise and the games were fun to watch, but ultimately blow outs with the Caribbean, New England and Mexico spanking Europe, Midwest and MEA (Uganda) respectively. It's a fun event up here in the middle of know where Pennsylvania and if the boys work hard, they could be back as players someday. I'm off to Philly tomorrow for the ACS National Meeting and everyone else is heading home.
I promised myself I would learn to play the guitar a while back and I've taken the first step. It showed up today and the you tube lessons will start as soon as I learn to tune it.
The boys and I have hit around a .99 cent beach ball the last two days at the pool and think I've created a new Olympic event or two. It's been a low key weekend with some pool time and shoe shopping for the boys. Getting ready to watch the closing ceremonies and start a new week of work.
We had the parents over of the kids we are hosting For Sam and Dylan's first sleepover tonight and we had a great time as the boys all jiggy wit it. Sleepovers are a big thing in 4th grade world and this is the first boy venture towards, boys, soda, video games and scary stories. I'm just glad to put my feet up for a while.
